Tim and JJ had planned an excellent trail out to the PNFS Jim Morris Post in Primrose Hill Wood.
The morning saw a number of heavy showers but it was dry during the run.

NSFT and Dobbie were first off. It was nice to see Dobbie back from Florida again. The City Boys were quickly away with Des, Les, Potter and Doggie soon to follow. The ducks and drakes Wilson, Stanton, Jackson, Riley and Eastwood set off in their normal lineout.

West-Samuel and McHarry were followed by the Pres. The trail led up Gallowsclough Lane to Finger Post Farm and over to the Delamere Way which was followed over to the Forestry Centre and across the railway bridge into Eddisbury Wood.

Skirting Eddisbury Hill down to Hill Farm the trail headed west towards the Roman Road and then down Stoney Lane into Primrose Hill Wood.

Walter was already at the post with his camera to record the event. This area would be familiar to some as the turn-round point of the Crichton Championship course.

The return followed the Sandstone Trail up through Nettlefold Wood  to Blakemere Moss, over to Hatchmere and up School Lane to pick up the paths leading to Maddocks Hill and the pub.

McHarry thought the 10.1 miles a trifle short and carried on past Blakemere Moss toBarns Bridge.

After the tin bath an excellent meal was enjoyed at the long table which had been specially laid out for us.
